One-off posts are transactional: brief, deliver, pay, done. Long-term relationships compound — the creator understands your brand voice better with each piece of content, audiences start associating them with you, and negotiation gets easier because there's trust on both sides.
The content quality difference is noticeable too. A creator's third or fourth piece of branded content is almost always more natural than their first, because they've had time to actually use the product and find their own way of talking about it instead of guessing what you want.
The tradeoff is audience fatigue — even loyal followers notice if the same creator promotes the same brand every single week. Rotating a roster of 3–5 long-term creators usually balances familiarity with freshness better than betting everything on one relationship.
